It’s not often you’re asked to cover a wedding taking place over several days, but that’s exactly what Fiona and Mike had planned for their huge weekend celebration. With family coming in from all over the world it had to be a big celebration and didn’t disappoint. The weekend started off with a concert in the town hall featuring some of the best musicians in Scotland (and possibly further afield).
Saturday was a suitably impressive celebration with the hall packed with hundreds of family and friends for a very personal ceremony followed immediately by the first dance, played for by what can only be described as an orchestra! After this there was a procession along the promenade to a pub for the drinks reception. With live music all the way; I’ve never seen anything like it.
As the weather was fantastic we got onto the beach for the group shots before going back to join the party. After a few drinks it was time to head back to the town hall for the meal, speeches and of course, more music and dancing!
There are far more pictures below than I would usually post but I just had to include all of these.
A big congratulations to Fiona and Mike for tying the knot, and thank you for having me as part of your day!
